Tsoukalia villa

The practice was asked to produce a concept design for a new build private villa on an existing plot of land on the Greek Cycladic island of Paros. The scheme naturally exploits the sea views, with principal rooms each enjoying views over to the neighbouring island of Naxos. The plan of the house centres around a relaxed open plan living room, with the bedrooms arranged around the perimeter, helping create a feeling of privacy in each and also serving to break up the overall mass of the building. Elsewhere, deep overhanging timber pergolas and a generously proportioned pool provide welcome relief from the fierce summer sun.
